About The Maternal Health Council of Kentucky

The Maternal Health Council of Kentucky started in March of 2023 with a mission to not only help bring many community resources together but to also make a change in maternal care in the state of Kentucky. We are continually working to help families with resources and creating a support system that will impact them for a lifetime.

Our Board

Brittani Roberts is a Licensed Professional Counselor dedicated to helping individuals and families. She focuses on providing therapy for new and expecting parents, teens, and women facing infertility and perinatal loss at River Valley Behavioral Health.

Drawing from her personal experiences with motherhood struggles, infertility, and loss, She launched a Maternal Health initiative at her local Community Mental Health Center. She has received specialized training from Postpartum Support International and serves as the Treasurer on the KY-PSI Board.

She is also the Founder and Chair of the Maternal Health Council, where she works with other providers and professionals to improve services in our community and share resources.

She is also co-chair the Maternal Collaborative Panel for the State of Kentucky alongside Elizabeth Ottman MD. Statistics show that 1 in 5 women and 1 in 10 dads will experience perinatal mood or anxiety disorders. Through therapy, She strives to be a source of comfort and help individuals navigate their journey towards healing and resilience.
